Classic Popeye cartoons! and government intervention
I ran into a bunch of classic Popeye cartoons recently on my Amazon fire stick. I haven't seen that stuff in ages! I used to watch that stuff all the time when I was a kid. I don't know if this classic stuff is shown on TV anymore, maybe the Federal government's educational content mandate killed 'just fun' cartoons, except on cable tv and the internet. In case you didn't know that's the reason you don't see Saturday morning cartoons, because the government mandate for educational content in children's programming made it a pain in the butt to show cartoons, at least on broadcast TV, but now you have these 'educational' shows with the EI logo in the corner:
