Upper town of Zagreb also harbours the most important state institutions. The offices of the Government and the house of Parliament. It is such a pleasure to walk past both places and remind oneself that they are full of diligent people hard working toward the pauperization of the nation.
As clearly pointed out by the flags, we are currently under the occupation of The European Union. That's not bad at all. Croatians were under foreign rulers through the entire history. However, the new masters were silly enough to let us run the country with a sort of half-independence, what resulted in the current state of affairs. What a mistake...
Maybe they did it on purpose. Smart move in that case. One needs to carefully study a nation to let it smoothly destroy its own economy without much help from outside. "Welcome to Croatia, a great tourist spot, the colony of your dreams. Have a coffee, bananas are to your right, proceed to the beach. Don' forget the Coke!" No need for the guards anymore, big brothers are watching over us.
Well, the recipe is not that difficult, if you want to try it at home. Raise the taxes, so that private sector pays more than 65% of income in all sorts of hidden taxation. You'll need that money to feed the army of appx 40% of the population that you'll make dependant on the state so they vote for you on democratic elections.
Destroy the private sector, who needs people who make money? Make sure generations of kids walk out of school as stupid as possible. Import food, make sure peasant's work is worth nothing and give them 'state support', so they don't really need to do anything except wait for the free money all year around. Make sure international corporations have a strong foothold. This will ensure good vibes with the Masters. When you're done, retire in 4-8 years, give others chance to get rich, too. Way in - way out.
Most important of all. Really worry about the outside appearances. Make sure everyone believes that milk and honey flow down the streets and people are rejoicing day after day. The more you lie, the more the lies become believable. In the end, people will hate you anyway. Ignorants have no clue that you are the only one who knows how to lead them into the light. In another life, of course. In this one, gold-plate everything with your tongue. Make sure soccer is the most important news, and how the cat was saved from a tree. Learn a few catchy phrases by heart every morning. You are here to look good on TV. The decisions are made somewhere else, anyway.
Right in the middle, in between the parliament and the government buildings, is this old church. This is where they all go to pray after-hours. The sins will be washed away after a few Hail Maries, right?
Right!
God, please save the Croatian politicians, they are inept to help the nation and have run out of favours with just about everyone else around here.

Today's message turned out very "sharp". For example for me this subject always was it is interesting. Everything that I know about the countries which live under the flag of the European Union - only the fact that they live better than we. (The opposition shows us inhabitants of an evrosobz who are very glad the to life). At least if to judge by social opportunities.
Judging by your message not everything is so good as it seemed to me. The governments and governors are very similar at each other, irrespective of the country.
For the reason, important for me, I studied Croatia. Many resources specify that in Croatia there is a percent of the unemployed and it is a negative factor. But the best way to learn about the country is to ask residents of this country. Still that I know about Croatia that tourists it is one of main a way of earnings. Especially for ordinary people. Belarusians and Ukrainians who live in Croatia tell that people and small business in every possible way take cover from taxes. In Croatia there are a lot of taxes (it reminds something to me?) and some try from to disappear. Therefore for tourists it is desirable to pay off cash but not a card. (One more positive факторв for a bochny chain).
Here, and you have at people in a pravitelsva the same mentality. It to serve the sentence in power and to fill the pocket with money.
At me there live relatives in Riga (the capital of Latvia) they tell about the same problems. The European Union means isn't a reason for a govrodost, and on the contrary. For such guy as I it changes situations. But nevertheless it doesn't cancel mine of plans because indifference (as at you) is better than - total control...
Politicians always try to look good. I remember yours photos with gold shit. This excellent description for politicians. They are only performers of orders and therefore feel that they have no responsibility. But it not so.

What do you mean by you have study Croatia? You studied here in Croatia or have studied Croatian language, history...?
I mean, I like Croatia. I have a desire to visit her. I like the Balkan countries. Another plus that I understand many of your words. We have only one problem to visit the country - it's getting a visa. If there are friends or relatives in Croatia, they can send an invitation. If no one is there (I do not have anyone in Croatia) then this process is very complicated. Many are denied if there is no good amount in the bank account.
European Union :)
For example, in Montenegro (not a member of the European Union) there is no problem going. There is no need for a visa.

And I sad to myself, WTF this man is paid to say this (i didn't know what pauperization mean). Who would say hard working people and the parliament in the same sentence, here in Croatia?
But I have continued to read and I'm glad I did because this is the true story of the situation in Croatia without exaggeration.

I would like to add that we are still in ww2 and that is most important what happened in the year 1945, not our educational system, healthcare, industry...

Similarly in the field of electronics are in the hands of foreigners. The same is true with the telecommunications sector and even plantations. I really like to Croatia, the second country after Italy I want to visit. I really admire Croatia. the first to know Croatia 1998 ie from football. Boban is the only footballer I like that time, due to play in the club's my favorite Milan. then I continue to find out about Croatia. beautiful country to travel.

Here in my Country due to security reasons, we can't even go near these places like parliament, Priministor house etc etc.

but it is all just theatre...
