Don't shoot until you see the white of their eyes -
enemy getting closer
Don't shoot until you smell their perfumed hair -
enemy almost upon them
Don't shoot until you feel their breath on your shoulder -
enemy is yards away
the soldier turns around in exasperation to see the officer picking flowers
