Poor little Nova is a skinny 5 year old Husky/German Shepherd had was an owner surrender in Los Angeles but was lucky enough to have been rescued by an agency in NH and was now beginning her long voyage east.

She was flown in from LA to Scottsdale in the evening so we had the pleasure of overnighting her and then driving her up to Lupton the next day.
Despite the stress of being surrendered to a shelter and flying in a small private plane to AZ Nova jumped right into my car and settled in for a 90 minutes drive home un the dark.
We all were up early and Nova and Lulu were both ready to stretch their legs.

Nova was a relaxed and chilled passenger and she quickly settled down with me in the back seat.
The miles went by quickly with just a couple of quick stops for pee stops for both Nova and Lulu. It was nice to see Lulu enjoying Nova's company especially since she usually is more grumpy when she has to share her family with another doggy.

Nova sure loved human contact and was content to spend most of the long ride resting in back and napping every now and then but always enjoying being petted and loved.

It was a bittersweet moment when we handed off Nova to the next drivers who would carry on her voyage towards her overnight stay in Albuquerque.
It was a wonderful experience to meet this sweet girl and I'm going to try to follow her when the trip resumes this weekend and later when she is hopefully adopted by a loving family ( she just needs to gain some weight).

My prayers for a long and happy life sweet Nova. 🥰🥰🥰
