Buying new, but what to do with the old

in #gadgets8 days ago

My Dell laptop had become extremely slow since the past few months I was having major issues working on it. For little work also, it would take so much time, I was getting frustrated, because it was taking up double of my time of what I could finish my work in. I got it serviced but it did not make much of a difference. Removed so many big files and tried to reduce the load but that also did not work. The processor is old, I do not even remember which one it is. It's been 6 years using it and since the past 1 year the performance has gone down. I was not in a mood to buy a new one, and wanted to carry on with this as much as possible.

Then my friend who is in to IT told me that the laptops are going to get expensive in the coming month due to all these war issues. Anyways sooner or later I had to buy a new one, as this would have not sustained me for more then another 6 months, the way it was going. Finally I decided to check out a new laptop. My use is not much, mostly MS office and blogging, that's it. I saw some options and finalized on Lenovo. The processor is 13th Gen, so I am hoping that it will work for me for a long time.

I bought the new, but now the question is what to do with the old. I asked the store if they could take the old one, they did not have a exchange policy. I am not sure how to discard the old one. The thing is that it has become so slow that giving it to some one, I am not sure how much it will help them.

This is my new one, yesterday I did all the set up and started working on it. Feels so good to be back on speed with work.
