That's a great read! Love all the small details you managed to note there. I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (last one covered was 1998) and there I covered a number of Mario games in some of them, but in a lot less detail. So was really delighted to see a post such as yours.
