This one shouldn't make you furious - it's a story driven game that's been in development for like 5 years. The puzzles are there, but there's more metroid-type progression going on with some simple combat. I honestly loved it, and the similarity in the artstyle of those games is striking, although a lot less pixelated in the case of my pick!
