King Crypto's Player Unknown's Battlegrounds - Steemit Review (Gaming)

Now this is a game!

Ever since sitting down at my first PC I've been a fan of Shooters. From Doom to Duke to Deus, I love them all.

The first thing I noticed about PUBG is....

It wasn't like any other Shooter, I've ever, played before. This was intense. The Genre it falls into is something called "Battle Royal". You're basically dropped out of a Plane over a Giant Open World Island, you fall and Parachute to wherever on this Island that you please. The catch is this... So do 99 other players.

From the second you land...

you're life is at risk. Your goal = Get loot and survive. Yet there is one more catch I haven't mentioned. There is a massive Dome that closes in on an area of the map, at first encompassing the entire map, but eventually by the end of the game only encompassing the area large enough to fit a single building. If you're caught outside the dome, you will periodically lose health until you return inside the zone. It's brilliant game design at it's core.

Gun-play (Like Game-play, but with Guns)

The mechanics behind the physics of the firearms and projectiles is amazing. The sound, the realism of the crack before the snap. It's almost PTSD inducing. If I wore a heart rate monitor at times during this game I swear it would be skyrocketing. I really don't have any complaints when it comes to gun play. It's important to remember it's in alpha at this stage also and any issues that people are experiencing will be fixed in the near future too. One thing I love about this game is, if you're skilled enough, you can take someone out from a mile away with a well placed shot.

Gameplay was...

Interesting... You can see what direction the game as an entirety is heading and its fantastic, it's just hard not to notice there are some issues that come with ALPHA territory. Nothing that breaks the game though, so I can't complain. After the most recent update, i've actually noticed that 90% of the existing bugs were fixed and numerous new guns and features were also added. The dev team don't give up, awesome updates always coming. Overall, the gameplay is amazing, if it wasn't so many people wouldn't be playing right now. From time to time you'll hit a speed bump but like I said, nothing that breaks the game.

###Final Thoughts
PUBG is a brilliant Shooter that fits in the Battle Royale category. It's unparalleled when it comes to intense moments in gaming, being in a one vs one scenario is heart stopping. Choking when you're new in these moments is inevitable but you'll get better. This game is one I will keep installed and continue to play during the foreseeable future.
