Excellent review! The Shantae series has definitely risen to be one of my favorite action platformers in recent years. And I absolutely adored Half Genie Hero!
I have to say though, I was quite gutted when I discovered what the GBC game was going for! I went on a bit of a kick a year or so ago and picked up the Limited Run releases of Pirates Curse and Risky's Revenge and it would have completed my collection! I guess I'll just have to settle for the digital version on the 3DS virtual console haha.
This is the only title in the series I own physically, with my copy of Pirate's Curse on my Wii U hard drive. Id like to have the others on disc or cart of course.
