Ok, as usual, I'm gonna review a video game from any platforms. Recently, I reviewed some video games from MS-DOS platforms. However, today, I want to review a video game from Sega Genesis platform. The video game name is Alisia Dragoon. So, don't waste our time here and let's review the video game.

Alisia Dragoon
Alisia Dragoon is a video game that takes a side-scrolling as its genre. This video game was developed by Game Arts and the publisher Game Arts as well and Sega in 1992. This video game was aimed for Sega Genesis platform. Unfortunately, the promotion of this video game was not enough good internationally, thus it did not achieve a satisfied selling. On the other hand, this video game received some good responses from expert video games.

Gameplay
Alisia Dragoon is a side-scrolling video game. In this video game, the player controls the protagonist character named Alisia who is saving the world by destroying the evil forces who murdered her father. There are eight levels in this video game. During the game, there are gaps that separate the ground so, she has to jump to deal with these obstacles. Then, in her way, she must defeat all enemies. Lastly, at the end of the level, there is a boss level that she must defeat.
To destroy enemies, Alisia has a special power. She attacks the enemies buy release the lightning from her hands. The players don't have to point the lightning toward the enemies because of the lightning targets enemies automatically. However, if the player always performs this attack, the lightning will be weaker and it needs a few seconds to recharge the power of lightning. When the power of lightning has been full, the player can do more dangerous attack than that of usual. The lightning bar power can be seen at the upper part of the screen.
Alisia has four pet monsters that will help in her quest. These pet monsters fly around Alisia to protect her from enemies attacks and to help her defeat the enemies. Each monster has its own attack type. For example, fireballs can be released by the Dragon Frye; Boomerang Lizard has the ability to throw boomerangs; The thunder Raven releases a thunder blast that hits enemies on the screen; the Ball O' Fire can burn enemies on contact. However, there is only one pet that can help her during the game. So, the player can choose which pet that they want to use during the game.
Moreover, the abilities of Alisia and her pets can be enhanced by collecting power-ups. The player can find these items in the first seven stages which are placed mostly in hidden locations. These items have various abilities such as increasing the maximum life of Alisia and her pets, improving their attacks, and granting invulnerability for a certain time. When the game is completed, the screen shows the statistic of Alisia performance.
PLOT
The storyline of Alisia Dragoon is short and simple and it's the same as the most action games that are on the Sega Genesis. Alisia is a daughter of a great sorcerer who has prisoned Baldour who is the main villain in this game. Baldour is imprisoned in a cocoon and thrown into outer space. Then, the Baldour's followers kill Alisia's father. After that, Baldour comes back to the planet and starts to awaken. Alisia decides to take revenge and defeat Baldour and his followers.

My Opinion
I have explained some important information about this video game and also played this video game. Now, it's time for me to write what I'm thinking about this video game. The storyline is almost the same as the most action video games on Sega Genesis. But, the gameplay of this video game is very simple because the player just needs to perform the lightning attack to defeat the enemies. So, I give 8 of 10 for this amazing video game.
