My visit at the Botanical Garden in Prague

Carnivorous or meat eating plants are plants that derive some or most of their nutrients from trapping and consuming animals or protozoans, typically insects and other arthropods. They are often growing in spots with very few nutrients in the soil. These plants have adapted to grow in waterlogged and sunny spots where there are only few nutrients and nitrogen trapped in the soil. For me this a very interesting way of gaining the neccessary nutrienss and only very few plants exist that don't live from soil but other food sources too. In Prague at the botanical garden there were several different types of these Carnivorous plants.
