It's that time of year, spring is in the air!

Well it looks like spring came a little early in Florida this year with all the warm weather we've been having in the mid-80s. I usually start my garden when everything else in the yard starts blooming.

Spring caught me by surprise this year when I saw my loquat's were ready to be picked. You have to pick these guys before they turn orange or else the squirrels will get them all, squirrels love loquat's!

The weather has been so nice that even my monster cactus plant has blooms all over it, it's time to give this bad boy a nice trim!

My palm plant is starting to perk up, it has been transplanted many times and it is almost as old as me! Yes, it has sentimental value like my loquat's that my father grew from a pit 20 years ago.

I grew this mango tree from a pit that I got from one of my neighbors mangoes, it almost didn't survive after the hurricane, but it's doing well now.

I will be starting my garden in the next few weeks after I finish raking up all of these leaves from my giant oak trees. Once I finish doing that I'll need to throw down some grass seeds and make the yard respectable.

I'll be a little busy for the next few weeks doing all this yardwork and my beautiful daughter is getting married next weekend so I will be devoting my time to those two things. I'll get back to posting and following your blogs soon again!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog!

Nice to see that you are having a great time with your garden @tbnfl4sun
Looking at your pictures I miss the warmth from summer. I have to plan a trip back to Florida with my wife soon again.
It is also funny to see that the flower in the first picture is a plant that we buy a lot here in Norway during the x-mas time. Here it is seen as a x-mas flower :)

Hi @glydenhorn, I hope to see you if you come and visit Florida. Those were my Christmas poinsettias that I repotted two years ago, I didn't know they were perennial. I didn't know that if I repotted them they would last for years, I'm very happy with them!

Even though I'm not an American but I know the climate well in your home, but apart from the United States, Florida has a subtropical climate in the south: it's the only state in the country where we live. bathes all year round.

In spring and autumn, softness and humidity are always there

I see @tbnfl4sun you are paying attention to your garden and I like that

Thank's @redouanemez I think people should grow some of thier food just in case something happens to our food supply.Years ago most people did that but now it's a lost art.

Yes @tbnfl4sun you are absolutely right and I can also add that it is good for the health to get rid of foods with chemicals.

Guess you are a lover of flowers and horticulture.

The Weather is quite different everywhere. We had the Rainy season earlier than usual this year too.

I have never seen or heard of the loquat fruit. What's the taste like???

I grew this mango tree from a pit that I got from one of my neighbors mangoes, it almost didn't survive after the hurricane, but it's doing well now.

Lolz...this mango is still in its very early stage. It still has a very long way to go. Or is this a specie that remains this way forever?

Loquat have a tangy and sweet flavor, you are correct that mango tree has years to go and will probably be about 15 or 20 feet tall.

ejejej apparently you'll be somewhat busy, and I'm glad that your palm plant is encouraged, I liked this post because in my house I also have several plants which I like to take care of a lot, I hope to continue seeing more post like this

Nice shots! I can't wait for spring to break in my country as well. We are in the last month of calendar winter.

Spring came a little early for me what country do you live in?

I live in Romania. :)
