Tips for Visiting the Real Alcazar of Seville

Even pre-pandemic, the Real Alcazar limited the number of persons on the grounds at a time. The lines can grew quickly. Purchase tickets ahead of time online.

You will pick a time to enter. Just like a "Fast Pass" at Disney World, when your time arrives, you go to the front of the line; minimal wait!

You can also purchase an audio guide rental with your ticket. These are excellent, but you will have to wait in line to get one!

Seville, Spain is hot for much of the year. When we visited in mid May, the daytime highs were about 35C/95F! Get started as early as possible. From May till September, get there as early as possible. The crowds will be less and the temperature much more comfortable.

Make sure to give yourself plenty of time. I recommend 4 hours, more if you want to linger in the palace or gardens.
