Behind The Photo Contest - Issue # 8

This photo was taken in the botanical garden of Mérida, the garden has many areas including the one for the protection of species, recreation areas, a nursery where you can buy or acquire native species of the area, among others.
My visit to the garden was not for pleasure or recreation, it was to bring an injured animal that fell into my house, if it fell on the roof, a noise was heard on the roof the night before and in the morning, which was my surprise, find a kind of wounded bird.
This is the bird that arrived, it was visibly wounded and could not or did not want to fly, so we decided to take it to the botanical garden of Mérida, there it has the facilities, equipment and knowledge to serve it better than any.
Once there we were received by the manager who examined him preliminarily, informing us that it was a broken wing very common in bird accidents, the bird species turned out to be a duck, specifically a water duck, this migrate from the northern part of America to the south reaching Brazil, he informed us that he could recover until the season that his species returns and there he will be Liberated.
It feels good to do the right thing.
Additionally one of the things that surprised me is that sculpture located in those areas, it is a very well represented giant insect, I liked it and I decided to take a photo, what do you think.
