It Gives Light to All Who Are in the House

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11

Jesus said nobody lights a lamp just to hide it under a basket. They put it on a stand so it gives light to everyone in the house. Matthew 5 verse 15.
A believer's life should be on a lampstand and be able to give light to all who may be where he or she is. Practically that looks like this:
• Your life should preach the gospel without you saying a word. 2 Corinthians 4 verse 10 to 11.
• Your life should strengthen someone whose faith is weak, not just impress people whose faith is already strong. Romans 15 verse 1 to 3.
• Your life should show people what walking with God actually looks like, not just what it sounds like. Philippians 4 verse 9.

Some people who would never sit through a sermon are watching your life from a distance and learning how to walk with God from it. What makes that light outstanding is not volume. It is consistency, practicing what the Bible says day in and day out.

Ask yourself today: Who in your home, workplace, or even your own church is still in the dark because your light has been hidden under fear, shame, or compromise?
