FOUNTAIN OF SALVATION
2 BEHOLD, GOD IS MY SALVATION, I WILL TRUST AND NOT BE AFRAID; ‘FOR YAH, THE LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ”
3 THEREFORE WITH JOY you will draw water From THE WELLS OF SALVATION."
Isaiah 12:2,3 (NKJV)
2 SEE, GOD HAS COME TO SAVE ME. I WILL TRUST IN HIM AND NOT BE AFRAID. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”
3 WITH JOY you will drink deeply from the FOUNTAIN OF SALVATION!"
Isaiah 12:2,3 (NLT)
There is a drink for everyone, whoever comes to the fountain of salvation.
The Word of God is the fountain of salvation. The word translated salvation in the passage is yeshû‛âh in Hebrew word and It means salvation. It could equally be translated: deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, help. In fact, the word Jesus in Hebrew means Yeshû‛âh—salvation, deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, welfare and help.
God has made provision for believers in His Word, to drink and be satisfied from the well of salvation which is the Word of God, Jesus personified. What you need is in the Word of God, the Bible.
The Holy Spirit will make the Word real to you, If you can allow Him to tutor you (John 14:26). There is power in God's Word to meet every need!
God is found in His Word, He magnified His Word than or above His name (Psalm 138:2). And Jesus is the Word in human form (John 1:1,2,14; Revelation 19:13).
Jesus' words are life and spirit (John 6:63). There is life in God's word, you need to eat and drink it that the life of God might be increased in you.
Life, zōē, is drawn from the word of God, the Bible, as you peruse, read and examine with care, that is, as you study it (Joshua 1:8).
Thus, give time to the Word of God. With Joy, drink it! When you thirst for the Word, you would be satisfied (Matthew 5:6). Give attention to the eating and the drinking of the Word of God!
Note:
• Read the Word, the Bible, study it and meditate or ponder on it daily (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; James 1:22-25).
• Pray with the Word of God. Let your prayers be Word based. The prayers prayed in line with God's Word are the ones that would get God's attention and be answered (John 15:7).
• Live the Word of God, the Bible. In other words, let the word be your standard of living (Matthew 7:24,25).
• Share the Word of God with other people (Matthew 28:20).
It is the Word of God that will transform your life; the hearing, the reading and the studying of it; you would have your mind transformed (Romans 12:2; James 1:21).
The truth is:
• When you are filled or loaded with the Word, it would grow and survive, that is, become fruitful with time in your life.
• When you make the study and practice of the Word your primary concern, you are building a strong foundation for your steadfastness or staunchness in God.
• If the strong foundation of the Word is lacking in a believer's life, when the challenges of life come, such a believer would not be able to stand (Matthew 7:24,25).
• Foundation for your steadfastness and greatness in the kingdom of God on earth is in the eating and drinking of the Word of God and the practicing of it (Psalm 1:1-3; James 1:22-25).
Some believers would not want to give attention to the Word of God, the Bible; the reading and studying of it, all they want is their problems to be solved. But, the solution to every human problem is found in the word of God, the Bible.
When you left the Word, the Bible, to circumvent or bypass God, take a shortcut to get a solution through other means; you surely would meet with disappointment.
Eat and drink from the Word of God, the Bible! If you want to know God, you get Him, get to know Him, through His Word, the Bible (Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11). God is in His Word or He is found in His Word!
Grow in the knowledge of the Word of God, the Bible. If you have a good foundation through the word of God, the Bible, you would be able to stand strong to withstand all the challenges of life (Matthew 7:24,25).
The amount of your word intake determines the level of life, zōē, that you have on the inside of you—in your life.
Do not forget, you would need the help and contribution of the Holy Spirit to understand the word of God—for the enlightenment of your heart (John 14:26; Ephesians 1:17,18).
The Holy Spirit will shed light on the word of God in your heart. If you study the Word of God regularly and you pray often and consistently in the spirit, that is, praying in tongues; you would begin to know things intuitively—through the Holy Spirit in your inward man or recreated human spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).
You get to know things, what to do or not, through the witnesses of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you—you will have the mind of God (1 Corinthians 2:16).
As a believer, you would have to relax and think about your life.
• What have you gained in running around to get solution to the problems that come your way? Nothing!
• Why then you do not sit down and learn the word of God, the Bible?
• Why did you not make the choice of sitting down under a leader who can teach you the word of God and allow him to disciple you?
Do it today. You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
