1 DOES NOT WISDOM CRY OUT, AND UNDERSTANDING LIFT UP HER VOICE?
2 She takes her stand at the top of the high hill beside the way, where the path meet.
3 SHE CRIES OUT BY THE GATES, AT THE ENTRY OF THE CITY, AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE DOORS.”
Proverbs 8:1-3 (NKJV)

God often speaks non-verbally. He also used to speak through spectacular ways—visions, trances, dreams, angelic visitations and audible voice—but not always (Matthew 2:13,20; Acts 10:1-6, 9-15; 16:9,10; 22:6-9).
The most commonest way through which He speaks to the elects is the inward witness (Acts 27:9,10).
We want to talk on crying out of wisdom which happen to be the most unnoticed among all the ways God uses in speaking to the elects (Proverbs 1:20-22).

How it is done:
• In this crying out of wisdom God may allow different people who come your way to talk about a particular issue which you are thinking on. The people in question might not know what is going on in your mind, yet you would see them talking about the issue bothering your mind.
You should not be rigid, the cry out of wisdom may mean God speaking to you through what the people who come your way are saying about the issue bothering your heart. Even when they would not know that what they are saying or addressing is the issue bothering your mind.
• The cry out of wisdom may also mean God speaking through every message, sermon, you heard, or the book you read; even when the preacher or the author does not know you or what you are thinking in your heart. In such a situation, It would be wise if you give what you have heard or read a thought and pray on it, that you may take a step on it (Acts 20:22,23; 21:4,11,12).

In some cases, you may not clearly hear from God; He may expect you to discern what He is saying through the happenings around you: "FOR SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD, SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE" (Romans 1:20 NKJV).
READ: Acts 14:16,17

A number of people believe that God communicates mainly through spectacular means, visions, dreams, and the like, thus they are looking for the spectacular and miss the supernatural, that is, God’s visitation.
If things are working for you, know that God is the One behind it (Deuteronomy 8:12-14). All the same, if things turned sour for you, God might be calling your attention to something through the sourness—you might have missed it somewhere:
6 ALSO I GAVE YOU CLEANNESS OF TEETH [hunger] IN ALL YOUR CITIES, AND LACK OF BREAD IN ALL YOUR PLACES; YET YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED TO ME,” SAYS THE LORD.
7 I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I MADE IT RAIN ON ONE CITY, I WITHHELD RAIN FROM ANOTHER CITY. ONE PART WAS RAINED UPON, AND WHERE IT DID NOT RAIN THE PART WITHERED” (Amos 4:6,7 NKJV).

The point being made is, God speaks through circumstances, thus every believer should be able to discern when God is calling their attention to something.
• A Believer should know when God is happy with what they are doing, and also know when He frowns at what they are doing or about to do. You should be able to read the handwriting on the wall!
• If your relationship with God is cordial and intimate, when you embarked on something that is not His will, the moment you started, you would have been seeing negative signs to show that He is not in favour of it. But many believers usually despise or neglect the signs being given to them by God when they are toeing a wrong path or embark on a wrong assignment.

When wisdom cries out, you would do well to heed the cry:
20 WISDOM CALLS ALOUD OUTSIDE; She raises her voice in the open squares.
21 She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words: 22 “HOW LONG, YOU SIMPLE ONES, WILL YOU LOVE SIMPLICITY? FOR SCORNERS DELIGHT IN THEIR SCORNING, AND FOOLS HATE KNOWLEDGE” (Proverbs 1:20-22 NKJV).

Are you attentive to the cry of wisdom?
“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO ME [wisdom] WATCHING DAILY AT MY GATES, WAITING AT THE POSTS OF MY DOORS.”
Proverbs 8:34 (NKJV)
Peace!
