Stop playing gender politics with domestic abuse

I thought I'd share this video as a reminder that women abuse men at roughly the same rate as vice versa, and therefore that men are not inherently more prone to violence than women. To further the women good/men bad myth actually infantalizes women and deprives them of their humanity by turning them into cardboard cutouts.

If we as a society are going to stand against domestic abuse, we need to do so on the basis of integrity, and stop ranking victims according to factors beyond their control, such as gender. Otherwise, we're just playing gender politics with domestic abuse, which in its own way is just as heinous.
