Hello steemian friends,

The first week of Geo Quest Mystery “The Origin Point” has a very different feel to me. Because this week we are not asked to go far away, but to look back to our inner roots. In searching for the answer to the question of where does my journey as an explorer begin, I have chosen a place that is deeply connected to my everyday real life, experiences and perceptions. That place is Bakul Shah brick kiln.

22059.jpg

Bakul Shah brick kiln is located next to Dangirpara village in Kutubpur union of Badarganj upazila of Rangpur district of Bangladesh. This area is mainly surrounded by rural environment. Surroundings are vast farmlands, unpaved roads, some kitchens and normal village life. In this quiet environment the brick kiln has become a hub of activity. The black shadow of the chimney can be seen from a distance, which seems to carry the silent story of the working people of this region.

I have been familiar with this brick kiln for a long time. Traveling through this road since my childhood, I have constantly seen the life of the people working here. The arrival of workers in the early morning, the preparation of raw bricks, the arrangement of rows of sun-dried bricks, the preparation for firing again in the furnace everything made me think about human toil and patience. This is where my eyes were opened as a seeker. I understand that exploration is not just going to new places, but looking deep into familiar places.

Another big reason why Bakul Shah brick kiln is my “Origin Point” is that this place connects me with reality. Standing here, there is no touch of technology or luxury, only labor, sweat and struggle for life. This practical experience taught me to truly understand the world around me. From here I developed an interest in people's lives, their struggles and changes in society.

This location fits perfectly with the idea of Geo-Quest Mystery. Because this challenge teaches us to map the world not just as a place, but as a story. When I pinned Bakul Shah It Bhatar's location on SteemAtlas, it wasn't just marking a place,Rather adding a chapter of my life to the map. In the pictures taken by myself, I have tried to show the environment of the brick kiln, the work style of the workers, the rows of bricks and the surrounding nature.

The short video on Speem.watch is also very important to me. In the video, I have tried to capture the surroundings of the brick kiln, the working sounds and the special atmosphere, so that the audience can not only see, but also feel the reality of this place. This video documents the very beginning of my investigative journey.

To conclude, Bakul Shah brick kiln is not just a brick making place for me. It is my place of learning, place of realization, and starting point of finding my way as an explorer. I mapped out my story by choosing this location as “The Origin Point” of Geo-Quest Mystery. This is where my search begins. From here I dare to find more stories ahead.

You have presented it in a very beautiful place. Nowadays, many people work in the field. It is even seen that they earn their living by doing this work. I think it is very important to see these things with your own eyes. Your photography is great.

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is a fair evaluation of the post by @riyadx2, following the official Week 1 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description1.2 / 1.5The SteemAtlas pin code and coordinates are included, and the place is described with good local detail (Rangpur district, rural setting). However, there is a pin accuracy concern raised in the comments (other posts pinned at the same spot but not matching). Clarifying the exact point (gate/entrance/landmark) would strengthen reliability.
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue1.2 / 2.0The choice of a brick kiln as an Origin Point is original and meaningful (everyday reality, labor, social observation). But the required hidden clue (acrostic or emoji code forming one word about you) is not clearly included.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video1.4 / 2.0A proof video link (IPFS) is provided and the post indicates “Posted with Speem.” For full points, provide a clear Speem.watch link and ensure the video includes a direct “starting point” message while showing recognizable markers of the kiln.
4. Storytelling Quality1.6 / 2.0Strong theme and reflection: childhood familiarity → deeper understanding of labor and society. The writing connects well to the mission, though adding one vivid on-site moment or dialogue would make it more memorable.
5. Photos Quality & Authenticity1.5 / 1.5Photos appear authentic and consistent with a brick kiln environment and surrounding rural landscape.
6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing)0.0 / 1.0Based on your note, the participant did not comment on other entries to guess their hidden clues, so engagement points cannot be awarded this week.

Final Score: 6.9 / 10

Remarks:
This is a meaningful and socially grounded Origin Point with good authenticity and atmosphere. To become competitive, focus on: (1) adding a clear hidden clue (acrostic/emoji word), (2) ensuring the pin is fully accurate and defensible with a clear landmark reference, and (3) meeting the engagement requirement by commenting on at least two other entries and attempting to guess their clues.
