Hello friends,

Assalamu Alaikum, how are you all? I hope everyone is well. Today I have come to review a market among you. Basically, I have come here to participate in a competition. And thank you very much to @kouba01 for giving us such a beautiful competition. This is the local market of our area. Basically, it is the Daganbhuiyan Fish Market in Feni district. There is a constant crowd of people here. And people always come here to shop for their needs.

Actually, we usually go to the market in the morning, that is, if we need to do some shopping. But when we go to the market, we see that the day begins with a lot of noise. So when I went to the market this time and entered one of the busiest fish and people markets, I had a different feeling that it was just a crowd of noise. But there is no silence here, only the noise of life. Then I think if I can stand in this market for a minute, then only noise will be heard.

And if we close our eyes and stay for a while, the voices of the people here will be heard even louder. In fact, the people here make many different kinds of sounds. You will see someone here bargaining for the price of goods, and someone else calling or talking to someone. Again, you will see someone laughing and joking with a familiar person. These sounds spread among us one after another. In fact, many types of human sounds can be heard here. Among many sounds, we do not understand which sounds are actually being made.

But if we try to understand the sounds by being silent for a while, then we will be able to understand what sounds are being heard. And here are some sounds that actually come back again and again. It is seen that sometimes unexpected sounds come out. Again, many times the calls of familiar people are heard. And when these sounds go to the market, it is seen that the sound stage makes it more alive. We can make these sounds available. Here, people can actually make the necessary sounds available to everyone.

Just as people come here for their own needs, they can also meet many familiar people here. Again, you can see and talk a little. When I went, I saw a huge crowd of people. All the people are gathered together and confined to one place. But all the people are busy with their own work in different ways. Some are buying and some are selling. Amidst all this, many sounds are heard. All the people are constantly familiar with these sounds. And all the people constantly come here to fulfill their needs.

I mainly came here to the fish market and the meat market. Where there is a constant flow of people. Especially in the morning, there is a huge crowd of people. Because a lot of people always come here to buy their necessary things. Because it is seen that people are constantly getting fish and meat. In fact, we are Bengalis who eat fish rice. We always want to eat fish. And when we go to this market, we hear a crowd of people and a wealth of sounds. Anyway, I tried to review this place.

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map. Here is an evaluation of the post by @tasonya, following the official Week 2 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Sound Description1.30 / 2.0The location is clearly identified (Daganbhuiyan Fish Market, Feni, Bangladesh) with Google Maps, plus code, and SteemAtlas pin code included. The sound description communicates constant crowd energy, bargaining and human voices. To score higher, describe distinct sound layers more concretely (vendor calls, bargaining rhythm, footsteps, splashes, cutting/chopping, bags/coins) and ensure the SteemAtlas pin line includes a clear place label for easy recognition.
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Sound Challenge0.60 / 2.0A fish market is an excellent sound-rich choice. However, the Hidden Sound Challenge is not implemented in the required way: there are no “hidden” clues for three distinct sounds that other participants must guess. Add three subtle sound hints (without listing them directly) to earn higher points.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video (20–60 seconds, focus on sound)0.80 / 2.5A video link is provided, but per your note, added music masks the original ambient sound, which reduces the Sound Map proof value. For a higher score, upload a raw ambient version (no music overlay) and include 10–15 seconds of standing still so listeners can identify the soundscape clearly.
4. Storytelling Quality1.60 / 2.5The narrative clearly explains the market’s “noise of life” and mentions recurring human sounds (bargaining, calling, laughing). To improve, add a stronger “one-minute listening” passage: loudest sound, smallest sound, repeating rhythm, and one surprising sound that appears suddenly.
5. Engagement (Listening / Guessing others)0.00 / 1.0No evidence was provided that the participant commented on at least two other entries and attempted to guess their sounds. This is required to earn engagement points.

Final Score: 4.30 / 10

Remarks:
This entry has a strong real-world location for a sound map and clear place context. The main upgrades needed are: (1) re-upload the video without added music so the true market soundscape is audible, (2) include a proper Hidden Sound Challenge with three hidden sound clues, and (3) complete engagement by guessing sounds on at least two other participants’ posts.

Hi friend. I see in that market sell fresh shrimps. I like these cook in oil. God pics and nice video, but I hear only the music.

You are absolutely right. There is a lot more noise in the fish market than in other places. Because all the people come to the fish market to buy fish. And there are all kinds of noises here. This is really a noisy place.

There is a lot of noise in the fish market. I think it is louder here than in other parts of the market. You are right that there is a lot of noise here. It is a very crowded place. Where there is a lot of crowd and there is a lot of noise.

I think the most noisy place is the fish market. You have to shout when you go to buy fish. I like your post.

A wonderful post. In the video of the post, the sounds of the fish market and people could be heard very clearly, which I really liked. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful post.
