SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 4: History Glitch
Assalamu alaikum friends,
This is @jannat7
From Bangladesh
Today I will share with you all the review of a shop that has old historical items in its shop. And this shop is located in the inner market of Islampur, Feni district. This shop is located in a place that is much further inland from the city. Where the movement of people is very slow and less noticeable. However, there is definitely a movement of people here. But compared to other shops, very few people come here. The memories of the old days are hidden in the shopkeeper. Where there are many such products that when you see them, you remember the words of the old days.
If we see this shop from the outside, then the shop will seem very ordinary. But after entering this shop, when you see every perfect handmade item in the shop, your eyes will be caught. Because here there are items that are made with very perfect hands and skill. In every work of which there is human labor hidden. The items made of various canes are arranged on the ground and not on the walls. This is like a different scene. Most of the items made of canes are arranged one on top of the other on the ground. Which were eye-catching.
And the wooden objects inside the shop seemed to be talking about themselves. Their beautiful colors reminded people of the past. Those objects seemed to be trying to convey their beauty to everyone. But not through words, but through their own beauty. And the boxes arranged on one side seemed to be waiting to be used. They seemed to have prepared themselves as tools. As if others would use them with care.
And the inside of the shop is surprisingly quiet. Where seeing is more important than words. Just looking at the beautiful things inside the shop made me feel different. I learned the history of this shop from an old customer next door. He was telling me that history in a way that was just his own. He told me that at one time there were more shops like this in this area than any other. Hearing his words, I felt that this shop is not just a place of business. Rather, many things are highlighted here.
Unlike in the past, people do not use these things much in their daily work anymore. Now everyone is busy keeping up with modernity. Where once, people could not do their daily work without these things. In the past, the value of using them and now the value of just looking at them have merged into one place. Yet they are still here. Looking at each piece of rattan, it seems that the work of hands is still alive and breathing. Each of their works seems to want to speak. It is as if the history of an old day is being presented in front of everyone. Looking at these things, it seems that they have now become just memories.
How many people use these things nowadays? Except for some people in the village, their use seems to be disappearing day by day. Standing in this place, it seems as if the present time has slowed down. As if everyone has gone back to the old memories of the past. This shop is making us understand the scenes of the past and the present, I felt like that. Here, these two times seem to touch each other, this shop seemed like that to me. Where the stories and purposes of history were visible. Every step of which had those things. It is truly a different kind of scene.
