SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 4: History Glitch
Assalamu alaikum my steetimian friends,
Welcome to my new blog. |

Today I am back with a new review post. As always, I am very happy to share a new post today. This shop is located in a place where there is a lot of traffic, but very few people stop in front of this shop. Many such people walk past the shop every day. But no one seems to have time to peek inside the shop. In fact, in this busy city, the most lacking thing is the old things. The things that people are forgetting to use day by day. It seems like all these things have become memories for everyone.
Looking at this shop from the outside, it seems as if such traditions are disappearing day by day. There was a time when nothing was possible without using these things. Especially, these things were used the most in people's daily work at one time. But now these things are on the way to disappear. After entering, you can see various things made of rattan stacked in one place. Those things seem to be trying to talk about the memories of the past and the uses of the present. No one gives them the importance they used to. But at one time, these things were used the most.
The clay pots seem to be slowly cracking. But they are not cracks that are about to break. Rather, everything inside them is breaking due to lack of use. Those marks seem like signs of survival. The pots, made in different ways, seem to be trying to show everyone the importance of their use. They have arranged them in a corner. These things seem to be losing their importance to everyone day by day. The lighting in the shop is not that intense. Due to which, every thing inside this shop seems to be slowly coming into view. It also looks different.
I learned the story of this shop from the owner of this shop. He told me that at one time, such handicrafts were the main source of livelihood for people in this area. After hearing this, everything inside the shop seemed very heavy to me. Because nowadays, such things are rarely used. Yet this shop has been here for many years. This shop seems to have deliberately stood against time. They are trying to showcase all these things to everyone. But everyone seems to be busy with modern things.
After touching the perfectly crafted objects made with cane, it felt as if the pressure of the craftsmen's hands had not yet been removed. As if their hopes, trust, and skills were all hidden inside it. Their hard work was embedded in every corner of the cane. After entering this shop, it feels like the sounds of the city are very rare here. As if we have been taken a little back from modernity. Where such things had their true value. But now people no longer understand the importance of using these things as they used to.
The past has not yet hidden itself, it is presented through these things. Even in this present modern era, the past has not hidden itself. It seems to me that this place is the moment where the camera lens is capturing scenes from both the past and the present. It is as if these two times are being captured simultaneously in the camera lens. Seeing such shops, one remembers those old days of the past. The things seem to remind one of the days when people in the past made a living. When they used to make and sell these things with their skills and used them all the time.
