RE: Girl Talk: Colorism

in #girl7 years ago

Ok first of all there is nothing wrong with having natural hair , your hair is beautiful and you should be happy with it . How dare someone tell someone your hair is inappropriate or knappy . I can't believe someone would go that low and make fun of someone because their hair is different ? This generation truly sucks and I'm ashamed to be apart of this world and generation because of the way people define others and crucify people for being different or being light skin or dark skin or being pale as a ghost . Why is it men and woman are so bothered by other races , why do people feel so threatened by African Americans we're cops shoot innocent black lives just for the sake of wearing a hoodie . I don't find this acceptable and the families who lost someone over a hate crime deserves some kind of justice . How can anyone feel okay to walk around and be such a giant bully and put others down and be so critical of someone's race or sexual orientation . As Americans we are not doing enough to stand up for what we believe in and to end hate and wars and racism . We are not doing enough . Racism was a huge situation back in the day and that should of ended years ago but now racism is becoming a major issue in today's society because everyone feels they can step over you . Let me say this African Americans do have a habit of saying that white people are more privileged and get what they want and never suffer , that is false . Everyone suffers and gets hate . Right down to what they wear or what kind car they drive or who they hang out with . People don't realize this world and country we're in is already in deep waters not to mention the shit head of a president we have making world affairs worse and making more countries want to go to war with United States . Don't you see it goes so much deeper than people picking on someone's skin shade , people were embedded to have hate towards someone who doesn't have their same skin tone . This world is full of hateful angry people and this problem is going to continue to get worse , as adults we are not making a good example for little kids , we are setting the wrong example for the younger generation . All I see is kids who feel entitled , who mouth off and want this and that , who thinks it's ok to hit someone and have no value of money is , bullying their peers in school, sneaking out to parties and having sex and being pregnant , there is so many topics that you can talk about . Bottom line the world we are living in is reckless . As a society we are not helping ourselves we are only hurting ourselves . Black woman deserve to be loved and appreciated just like Spanish Asian and white woman . All woman matter and deserve to be treated equally . Racism should not exist . We are not helping younger kids . We need a wake up call and for everyone to wake up and realize this kind of behavior can not go on . I know this situation is bigger than the both of us but I really hope this video goes viral and everyone spreads this video around to get the message out there to end colorisim. This is not acceptable . Honestly it makes me sick to my stomach to hear someone talk with such hate . And for anyone who wants to say racism is not around clearly he or she doesn't know what their talking about !!!!
Schools are resegregating, it’s getting harder to vote, too many are incarcerated, America is becoming more separate and less equal. Racism will get worse unless we stop it now. We're all in shock, the whole world is. How did America go from a black President to white supremacist neo-Nazis marching in the street? That is the question we need to be asking ourselves. And if we take a long hard look at ourselves, we'll find out that it's because we went into denial. We elected a black person, we made friends with some minorities, and we patted ourselves on our backs, saying, "Well done self, we have eliminated racism." Clearly, we have not. It's been lurking in the shadows, waiting in the spaces of the words we say and the words we don't say. The actions we take and the actions we don't take. We must stand up and PROTEST! #stop-racism
