US Lawmakers Call for More Oversight of Cryptocurrency's Environmental Impacts
U.S. Representative Jared Hoffmann (D-CA) and 22 other members of Congress sent a joint letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Reagan on Wednesday regarding cryptocurrency mining operations.
The California congressman is chairman of the U.S. House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Oceans and Wildlife. He is also a member of the House Select Committee on Climate Crisis.
