Petersburg Court Denies Release For Developer Charged In $22 Million Fraud Case
The inventor of the Tornado Cash app, Alexey Pertsev, was detained on Tuesday at the request of the Federal Security Service, according to his counsel.
The FSB has been probing Pertsev since June 12 because he allegedly stole 2 billion rubles($ 30 million) from a company that vended his app.
Pertsev will be released from detention on December 31, 2018 and will remain under house arrest until also. His coming hail date is listed for January 1, 2019.
The inventor said on social media that he was arrested in his home due to a lack of substantiation. He added that this isn't an unusual situation for him and that he has been living under constant trouble for times now due to the disquisition into his conditioning.
