Google Calendar now allows Gemini to automatically suggest the best times for meetings, taking into account guest availability and potential conflicts.

Google has taken a new step in integrating its artificial intelligence within its productivity services with Gemini, which can now automatically suggest the best times for meetings in Google Calendar.

At the moment, this feature is available only on the web version and is rolling out to Google Workspace subscribers on the Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Plus plans, as well as the Google AI Pro for Education add-on.

The way it works is simple: when you create an event and add guests from a computer, a drop-down menu called "Suggested times" will appear. When selected, Gemini analyzes the availability of all participants, their work schedules, and possible conflicts to generate a list of options that really works. If the first suggestions do not fit, users can access more alternatives until they find a suitable schedule.

In addition, Google has included a feature that helps organizers avoid endless email exchanges. If multiple guests decline the invitation, a banner will appear within the event indicating an alternate time when everyone is available. This simplifies meeting coordination and reduces wasted time.

Google also warns that the feature may not appear in certain circumstances. This way you will not offer suggestions for events of more than eight hours, meetings with a very large number of participants, or past dates. Still, for most daily encounters, this tool promises to save time and improve productivity.

With this update, Google reinforces its strategy of including artificial intelligence in its classic services, in this case facilitating the coordination of meetings and the management of schedules.
