NEW Resin Art Guitar Picks (Plectrums) Available

Resin Art Plectrums

We're once again teaming up with Justin of Kaotic Artworks for an ongoing line of guitar products.
Justin is a resin artist of 20 years who pours unique resin designs that are out of this world. These pieces of art fuse the bounds between liquids & solids & features all sorts of pearl pigments, swirls, glow resins, UV reactive resins, holographic components, & more recently built in CNC designing that can inject solid designs into the art blocks he makes.

He has been pouring urethan, resins, & acrylics for over 20 years & is no stranger to the world of Iron Age.
We first teamed up in 2019 with the creation of the Bifrost guitar pick that was inspired by Norse mythology.
This was the very first plectrum of its kind as far as we know. From that point onward we saw a rise in multitudes of clones & lookalikes but there is only 1 Kaotic & 1 Iron Age.

The Skelmir Plectrum

The first plectrum in the lineup we're introducing is the "Skelmir" which is our thickest guitar pick up date at a whopping 10mm thickness. It makes quite the statement & flips the definition of a guitar pick on its head

The meaning behind "Skelmir" is "Trickster" in Old Norse & meshes well with previous works such as the Ragnarok collection & Bifrost pick. Surely you've noticed by now that we're big on archetypes & the meanings behind them. It has been our source of inspiration from the very beginning but only one of the things that makes us stand out as one of the best handcrafted guitar pick brands out there - in our opinion of course.

Anyways, the idea of the trickster is of someone who is roguish, walks a tightrope between contradiction but ultimately tells the unsettling truth. The trickster questions the foundations of order for better or worse & they are a wild card in a sense but very necessary for the balance of things.

With this in mind, the Skelmir plectrum embodies a contrast between stark order on one side & chaotic flash on the other.
One side features a iridescent grey material & the opposite shows its true colors of trickery with a purple colored base & flashes of blue, green, yellow, & orange. No Matter what angle you view the pick, it's in a constant change from one side of the spectrum to the other.

The Skelmir is also produced form a handcrafted material by a master of their craft.
It's then passed onto the guitar pick craftsmen at Iron Age to work their magic,
and finally passed onto to you, the musician, to create & carry on the torch of creativity.

About the Kaotic Featured Picks

This product be like a rotating door for different finishes & designs made in partnership with Kaotic Artworks.
The concept is similar to our other page for Iron Age featured guitar picks that have had more pop-culture oriented designs such as the Hellfire Club (Stranger Things) picks and Fire & Blood (Game of Thrones) red jasper plectrums.

With that said, don't hesitate to claim a plectrum you see here as the grand majority of picks posted on this page will be available only once as a one-of-a-kind limited edition pick run.

A 2nd batch of the same pick design is not guaranteed and every pick made will be unique (no to the same!)
Afterall, Justin of KAW isn't one to repeat himself & looks to create expansive & variable works of art.
We also don't like to backtrack too often, we harness inspiration for an idea or project & burst into action to make it a reality... Once it's made possible, we take a breather & rush back into action to the next thing, no time to wait for everyone to catch up, we go go go!
