Harvey Weinstein ‘slapped in face and called piece of s*** by diner’ in Arizona restaurant
Harvey Weinstein was slapped in the face in a restaurant by a diner who told him “you're a piece of s*** for what you did to those women,” according to reports.
The disgraced movie mogul was eating in Arizona, near the rehabilitation centre where he is undergoing treatment after being accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
TMZ reported that he was with his sober coach when two men sat at the table next to him.
One of the men – named Steve – is said to have approached him early in the evening saying that he was a fan of his movies and asking him for a photograph.
The manager of Elements restaurant, based at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, reportedly said Weinstein's reaction was “very sweet” as he allegedly told the man he'd “rather not take a picture right now.”
Later in the evening, as Weinstein and his sober coach were leaving, Steve -who told TMZ that he had “quite a bit to drink” - is believed to have confronted him.
