The story of Hasrat Adam (AS)

হযরত আদম (আঃ) এর কাহিনী (2).jpg

The story of the prophets is always a good example for our life today. So learning to understand the different knowledge of their life will be very useful for us.

The Prophet Adam (PBUH) was the first person to be sent down to earth by God, along with his wife Eve (Eve). Adam is one of the 25 prophets mentioned in the Quran.

According to various accounts of Islamic scholars, Adam lived about 1000 years after creation. The Prophet Adam is mentioned in several verses in the Qur'an, including verses 30 to 38 of Surah Al-Baqarah (2nd surah of the Qur'an) and verses 11 to 25 of Surah Al-A'raf (7th surah of the Qur'an). The children of Adam and Eve were born twins, meaning that each baby boy was born together with a daughter.

Informing the angels about the creation of the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him):
God told the angels to create Adam as a human being and that he would be God's vicegerent (successor or caliph in Arabic) who worked for the betterment of the world. Allah has mentioned this conversation in the Qur'an.

Remember when your Lord said to the angels: "I have to establish a successive authority (caliph) on earth," they said: "Will you place there one who will cause chaos and bloodshed when we will sanctify and sanctify your litany?" What's your name? " And Allah said: Surely I know what you do not know. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:30)

The statement that the angels uttered is not to argue with God's judgment, nor to envy or misunderstand the Son of Adam. God describes the angels as those who do not precede Him in speech, that is, they seek nothing but God's permission. When Allah informed them that He was going to create a creation on earth and they had knowledge, the only concern of the angels was that this creation (man) would cause disaster on earth.

The word of Allah in this verse "Indeed, what I know that you do not know" means, "I know that the benefit of creating such creatures is greater than the harm you have mentioned, of which you do not know. I will create among them. And We will raise among them truthful messengers, martyrs, honest believers, worshipers, humble, pious, scholars who spread their knowledge among the humble people and who love Allah and follow His messengers. "

The Virtue of the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) over the Angels:
The Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) was created from the earth directly by the hand of Allah and his soul immediately blossomed by the Almighty Himself. In addition, the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) was endowed with an intelligence that enabled him to learn, observe and understand. This is also clear from the following verses of the Qur'an:

Then Allah gave Adam the knowledge of the nature and reality of all things and made them stand before the angels and said: "Tell me the names of these if you are truthful." (Surat al-Baqara, 2:31)
And they (the angels) said: "You (O Allah) are glorious, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Surely, You are the All-Knowing, the All-Knowing." (Surat al-Baqara, 2:32)
He said, "O Adam, tell them their names." Then when He revealed to them their names, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know what is unknown in the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you conceal." (Surat al-Baqara, 2:33)
God mentioned Adam's attributes above the angels because He taught them the names/knowledge of all things, that is, the names that humans use, such as man, beast, sky, earth, land, and sea. Names of other species. This happened after the angels prostrated Adam. This discussion only goes on to show the importance of Adam's position and the absence of angelic knowledge about the creation of the caliph when they asked about it. It shows Adam's superiority over the angels in knowledge.

Adam was very tall:
Adam was very tall at the time of creation. As evidenced by the following hadith:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah created Adam and made him 80 cubits long” (Al-Bukhari: 3327).
In the above hadith, it is said that when Allah created the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) he was 60 cumin (about 40 meters) tall. However, some scholars like Ibn-i-Khaldun (1332-1406) admit that it was his height in Paradise and after being sent to earth with Eve, he was given the appropriate height for the standard of the planet Earth.

The prostration of the angel before Adam and disobedience to the command of Satan's God:
There are many verses in the Qur'an, including several hadiths, which confirm that after the creation of Adam, Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before him.

And when Allah said to the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam; So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan / Satan / Satan). He refused and was arrogant and so became a disbeliever. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:34)
