Toothpastes create your own (Life hacks, How to)
Homemade toothpaste
If you're looking for an alternative to brush your teeth, there are options. There are biological and natural toothpastes on the market, but significantly more expensive than the convantional pastes. pros are they do not contain the harmful ingredients of conventional toothpastes you usually purchace on the market stores.
However some of them contain some of the ingredients we do not want, so be careful when you buy and always read the label. The other solution is to learn to prepare our own toothpaste. Once you realize how simple it is, you will not go back to buy those mainstream trade pastes ever again. Base materials containing homemade version is more or less similar, you can experiment and even modifie your own reciepe. It is not necessary to be a paste, even at powder formation it will do the same job. The baking soda alone does wonders. You can add salt for deeper cleaning or powder of minerals such as calcium or magnesium or their combination (both can be found in the pharmacy). Coconut oil transforms the powder into paste, has antibacterial properties and imparts a pleasant fragrance. Of course, the taste of salt is not the most pleasant in the mouth so you may have to add some sort of sweetener such as stevia or xylitol, which protects against caries.
Use coconut oil as a mouthwash and see what happens to your teeth!
The recipe is:
• 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (has antibacterial properties, gives pleasant aroma and is what transforms the powder into paste, and recent studies have shown that fights and decay)
• 2 tablespoons of baking soda (known for its bleaching properties)
• 2 tablespoons of magnesium-calcium powder (for better cleaning the teeth) which can be found in pharmacies.
• 2 teaspoons of xylitol or stevia (protects from caries)
• 2 teaspoons sea salt
• 10 drops of essential oil of peppermint, lavender, cinnamon or any other of your choice! Stir it all together and place them in a vase to facilitate use. But it is not enough for the health of our teeth. Flossing and proper nutrition should not be missing from your daily routine. Only in this way ensures the ultimate health of your teeth!
My dad always brushed his teeth with salt and he never visited a dentist :)
