3 Reasons, Why you cannot achieve your ideal weight?
You've stepped up your training and started eating healthier and more balanced, but still you're still not getting the results you've been hoping for. Wondering why? There can be many explanations. But we have summarized here the 3 factors most likely to prevent you from reaching your ideal weight.
FOOD
- Obviously, what you eat affects your weight. But did you know that your way of eating could also be the reason why you fail to reach the weight you desire? If you considerably reduce the size of your servings and the number of meals, you are likely to lose weight. However, if your caloric deficit is too large, various physiological changes, such as slowing down your metabolism, will occur and eventually promote weight gain. This natural phenomenon helps you preserve weight loss in times when food is scarce. Thus, as soon as you resume your usual diet, your body starts to store the calories in the form of fat to make sure to have them in reserve during the next period of deprivation. For example, many people mistakenly think that skipping breakfast is a great way to reduce intake calories, when in fact, this first meal of the day helps boost our metabolism. As a result, people who regularly eat breakfast tend to lose more weight in the long run.
HABITS
- As soon as we make the decision to change a habit, our old ones always end up re-emerging. But for what reasons? You probably know the saying: "old habits have hard skin". And this is especially true when it comes to eating habits. For many people, learning to stop eating at night can be extremely difficult because, over time, they have unconsciously developed certain habits and do not know the tricks of life that can help them integrate simple, Balanced in their daily lives. But besides unconscious habits and lack of information, some people do not have enough strength of will and motivation to pursue their efforts, and sometimes do not have the patience to wait for the results to occur.
INFORMATION
- ... or rather the lack of information. One of the most frustrating things about healthy eating is all this contradictory information that circulates about everywhere about nutrition. While some studies claim that calorie counting is the method to follow, others recommend that you completely forget it. With so much information at hand, it's easy to be baffled by so many myths about food and to wonder which ones are actually true. The current trend is no longer to differentiate what is right from what is wrong but rather to find a balance that you can maintain over the long term and that will not only allow you to be healthy but also to feel good.
Weight loss is a process of "trial and error": you try a diet and see if it works. And as any person experiencing weight problems can attest, this is rarely the case. Believe it or not, many people find themselves constantly faced with the same problem, either because of draconian regimes or lack of support and information.

There is so much misinformation in this article.
"slowing down your metabolism, will occur and eventually promote weight gain" - Thats why there are so many fat anorexic people right?
"this first meal of the day helps boost our metabolism" Not true. Total macro nutrient intake always wins - If thats divided up over 6 meals or 1 makes no difference. This has been shown countless times in the literature, which I would link but it seems like you have no interest reading any.
"learning to stop eating at night can be extremely difficult " Whats wrong with that? You havent even defined what you mean by habits.
"contradictory information that circulates about everywhere about nutrition" Well done for adding more misinformation to the internet!
As a personal trainer and nutrition expert I would tend to agree with you here. Too much vague information that doesn't apply to every person's metabolic type. We all have varying metabolic types, here is an OK article explaining what metabolic typing is: http://www.beyond-diet-reviews.com/how-to-determine-your-metabolic-type/
After a 10 minute search I could not fine any scholarly articles on the subject.
The first meal of the day may help boost some people's metabolism, but not everyone's! I'm on a 16 hour Intermittent Fasting Protocol and don't eat until 3-4pm every single day. I am in the best shape of my life and feel GREAT after following this for over a year.
Hate to have to call people out but that is what this community is all about, TRUTHFUL, EVIDENCE BACKED information. Thanks @depth
I like it :-)

For those that have not tried previously I would recommend a 1-3 day fast before starting your diet. It helped me see those "instant results" to kind of jump start my motivation. Try it out and it may work for you!
are you refering to dry fast...no water...no food? pls specify
No matter how much I eat, I always stay the same weight :/
