#32- Are you taking poison everyday ? Avoid it and live healthy :)
We all know sugar is not good for our health but"Do you really know why sugar is bad for your health and the reason why we should avoid taking sugar ? " I keep remind myself and I remember my darling ever told me avoid taking sugar because it will cause cancer. I know not only will cause cancer , also lots of negative effects to the body.
These are the reason sugar is BAD for you
- sugar can cause heart diseases , tooth decay, headache including migraine, depression, premature aging, hormonal imbalance ( some hormone become under active and others become overactive
- sugar causes constipation and varicose veins
-sugar can make our skin age by changing the structure of collagen - sugar feed cancer
- sugar can weaken eyesight and cause cataracts
- sugar contribute to obesity and diabetes, sugar also contributes to Alzheimer's disease and mild memory loss
- sugar can suppress immune system
- sugar can slow down the ability of the adrenal glands to function
- sugar increases estrogen in men
- sugar dehydrates newborns
- sugar can cause the following to children > hyperactivity, crankiness, difficulty concentration, anxiety

Thanks for your upvote and follow. I'm following you :)
Only in the unhealthy is sugar bad for you. We need sugars to survive. Sure it's likely unwise to drink a can of coke everyday but in moderation sugar is fine to those with proper nutrient stores. #bring back 6oz coke near me
I think I still can survive without sugar.. Coke contains so much sugar, but if you choose to drink it is your choice. I only sharing the negative effects of sugar to people on steemit for their good health. I can't control people to do what they want. Anyway thanks for your comment, enjoy your coke
Avoiding foods with added sugars surely you could survive. And I'd recommend avoiding them as well (though everything in moderation even moderation). When you say sugar is bad I suspect there will be some who will read such a thing and think to restrict their carbohydrate intake.Grains, rice, quinoa, lentils. Next thing you know they aren't eating enough calories and they are lethargic from a lack of glucose availability to the brain.
When it comes to moderation on sugar people can choose what they want. If they want optimum health all processed sugars without exception should be avoided. The only sugars which should be consumed are complex sugars in whole fruits and the like. However, even these sugars should be limited with the majority of our calories coming from vegtables.
And the scientific rationale for your directives? You've been watching too many netflix "documentaries". Sure sugar potentially increases glycation, enhances igf, and insulin increases essential fatty acid desaturases. Such shouldn't pose issues if one had proper niacin stores, mineral availability, and sufficient omega 3 intake. You clearly express more certainty than you should on this matter, though i'll grant that such a diet could be beneficial to those already unwell. In a vegan diet the majority of calories should come from seeds..
The problem is not sugar itself. The problem is that people are ignorant about the health benefits they're trading to consuming sugar.
We can find every substance we want and call it bad. But the reality is that people are ignorant of the sequences of consuming that very substance, whatever it is.
If a person knows about the dangers of sugar and still chooses to consume it, it's their problem. It's not sugar the problem, but it's a choice they make, and everybody can do what they like.
But I agree with you, sugar is bad for our health. xD
Great post! Thanks for sharing :)
You are right. Everything is your choice, if you want a good health then you know what to do. Lots of things is not good for health but people still taking it and doesn't care about it. So make a wise choice for yourself.
Thanks @cipriang :) Please upvote , resteem and follow me
@cipriang sorry but you are just playing with words... the problem is sugar, you say so in your first paragraph. What @honey-pot is trying to do is raise awareness of the community members.
You can call every substance good or bad based on whatever rationale people want... that doesn't change the facts. The facts are well known about sugar, for example, the Warburg effect explains the correlation between sugar consumption and cancer known since the 1920's.
Biologically the primary cause of ill health is sugar... behaviourly people in the fact know sugar is bad for them, most people know... sugar causes illness i.e. diabeties etc The modern world is on a sugar high and it will in time shorten the lives of billions of people due the human predispostion of wanting to consume easy energy via processed sugars.
It would be great if honey-pot would do a second post on sugar... I think it would add value to the commuity
@Arthur-Schopen, and I'm all for it. I'm all for Mr. @Honey-Pot raising our awareness to the dangers of consuming sugar. I have nothing against that.
What I'm saying is that we're always putting the blame on one substance, one person, one nation, when in fact, the problem is ourselves. We have the choice of consuming sugar or not. Nobody is forcing sugar unto you. But in order to avoid it, we must be ignorant no more, and learn about the health problems that sugar provide.
So it is not sugar itself the problem, but is the people who are not aware of it being the problem. Is the people who won't research for themselves, who won't take an interest in their own diet. Sugar is there whether we want it or not. It's a CHOICE for all of us to consume it or not. So the substance is not the problem, but the ignorance and heard mentality that is the problem.
I also think it would be great if Mr. @Honey-Pot would do a second post on sugar. Damn, we can do it ourselves also.
Anyway, thanks for the detailed response. I appreciate it :)
He hasn't raised your awareness, he's made you part of his herd. Perhaps he's leading you in the right direction, but certainly not where you want to be.
moron
Tell me arthur, what know you of sulfur? You gave him half the story
saying sugar causes cancer and ill health is like saying breathing causes death. It's a dangerous oversimplification of the pathology made by people who are lacking knowledge about the role of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Correlation isn't causation, there are other factors at play you do not understand. I ask that you stop spouting anti-science and instead delve into the confounding variables. You'll notice that many who choose such a diet and believe this also have an inability to exercise, cognition issues, decreased motivation, and arthritis. Will you attribute all of these things to sugar even after it has been removed from ones diet?
what an irrational comment "saying sugar causes cancer and ill health is like saying breathing causes death" breathing is essential to life sugar isn't.
You sound like you are promoting sugar... anyway i won't waste my valuable time debating on such a level.
Carbohydrates aren't essential to life? Breathing doesn't cause oxidation and cell death under certain circumstances? I am promoting the ingestion of minerals like sulfur and magnesium which prevent damage from sugars which most certainly are essential to life. On which level are you willing to debate? For I have only seen you lambast my comments without understanding them. I am telling you that you only know half the story, that sugar is dangerous like you think it is when the body is lacking sulfur and magnesium. It is that you know nothing of taurine and its antiglycation effects, that you know nothing of the role magnesium or sulfur play in preventing glycation and therefor are ill-equiped to give advice to people regarding their intake of sugar and its "dangers". Atleast speak with less surety on the matter, because your level of certainty is unwarranted
While it's true that many trade nutritious foods for sugary foods. That's not to say one cannot ingest both the right nutrients to remain healthy and sugar.. It is certainly true many people are ignorant of the sequences of consuming substances. The "dangers of sugar" are confounded by other variables...
