Is LASIK surgery safe for someone with mild dry eye symptoms?

Been thinking seriously about getting LASIK because glasses are driving me up the wall, but I’ve got these annoying mild dry eye symptoms that come and go. Nothing dramatic, but my eyes feel gritty sometimes, especially after long computer days. Now I’m low‑key freaking out wondering if I’m gonna make things worse by doing the surgery. My optometrist said it “should be fine,” but that didn’t exactly calm my anxiety. Anyone here been in the same boat? Did your dry eye get worse, stay the same, or magically disappear?
