Perianal fistula
Fistula refers to the channel that is contrary to the anatomy formed between the skin surface and the intestine. The anal fistula, peri-anal fistula or anorectal fistula is the formation of this channel in the breech region. Due to the similarity of the name, anal fissure (breech fracture) disease is constantly mixed with the two diseases are completely different from each other.
The history of anal fistulas usually involves a history of a history of recurrent rectal abscess. The inflammation that occurs between the internal breech muscles, creates a line between these muscles to expel yourself. Then the breech opens an outlet hole around it starts to flow out of the area. This hole where the inflammation flows is called the external mouth of the fistula. The channel formed by the fistula is called the fistula tract.
Anal fistulas are grouped according to the complexity of the line formed between the breech internal muscles and examined in 4 groups:
Interspheric Fistula
Transfiberteric Fistula
Suprasfinkteric Fistula
Extraflexic Fistula
Intersphincteric fistulas are the most common form of fistula and are considered as simple fistulas. The extracellular fistulas are caused by trauma-injuries affecting the chron, rectal and rectum and anorectal diseases such as diverticulitis. Because they occur around the rectum and the breech circumference, they are not evaluated in the anal fistula class.
Among the symptoms of perianal fistula, inflammatory, foul-smelling currents from the origin of the outer mouth take first place. These currents may occasionally decrease, but do not stop unless the fistula is self-closing or treated. During the period when the currents are intense, it can be transmitted to your underwear or even to your clothes. Especially in this period, you can control the area of the discharge with sterile gauze or daily pads.
Symptoms of tenderness, fullness and pain in the breech of the breech muscles are also among the symptoms of the fistula. In addition, due to the wetness of the currents from the external mouth, burning in the rectum due to wetness, itching, redness complaints may occur. Again, due to inflammation, fever, chills and chills are among the symptoms of fistula.
