Autumn has just arrived, but you should already be counting on the immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, vitamin- and mineral-rich gifts of the season that can’t be left out of your diet.

SLOE
One of the relatives of plums is this herb, which is very rich in immune-boosting flavonoids. It is also known for its antihypertensive effect. Its flower is laxative, its fruit has a laxative effect. The easiest way to include it in your diet in the form of tea, but if you are not a fan of this hot drink, you can also consume it baked into this delicious dessert.

ingredients (for 15 slices):
For the dough: 200 g wholemeal spelled flour • 100 g oatmeal flour • 100 g cornflour • 1 large pinch of salt • 1 knife tip baking soda • 100 ml virgin olive oil • 3-4 teaspoons fine-grained oatmeal • 1 honey tbsp virgin olive oil • For the filling: 2 mugs of wormwood • 2 tbsp ground walnuts • 2 tbsp wheat germ • 2 tbsp honey • 800 g sweet apples, thinly sliced ​​• 1 tbsp ground cinnamon • coconut fat for baking

Preparation: For the dough, mix the three types of flour with salt, baking soda, and 150 ml of water, then work together with the oil. Knead a medium-hard dough out of it, divide it into two loaves, and let us cover it. Meanwhile, bring the blackthorn to a boil in a little water, then carefully break through and remove the whole seeds. (Caution: the seeds should preferably not break, as their blue acid/cyanide content is toxic in large quantities!) Mix with ground walnuts, wheat germ and honey. Sprinkle the apples with the cinnamon. After resting, stretch out one of the loaves and place on a baking sheet greased with coconut fat. Sprinkle with oatmeal and spread the apples on top. Spread the honey blackthorn on it, then carefully cover it with the other, stretched dough. Grease the top with olive oil mixed with honey and prick with a fork.
Preparation time: 120 minutes

ROSEHIPS
Vitamin C is the main active ingredient in one of the best-known fruits of autumn. Not only does it support the proper functioning of the immune system, but it also strengthens the walls of blood vessels and promotes oxidation processes.

Rosehip soup

Ingredients (for 4 people):
• 1 mug rosehip • 800 ml vanilla soy milk • 4-5 teaspoons rosehip jam • 1-2 teaspoons coconut sugar • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Preparation: Soak the rosehips in 300 ml of water overnight and filter the next day. Heat the soy milk lukewarm with jam and coconut sugar. Meanwhile, stir in the cornstarch until smooth in the cold lace, and slowly add the soup to the warm soy milk. You can put rosehips in it as an insert.
Preparation time: 20 minutes + soaking

SEA BUCKTHORN
This berry is rich in vitamin C and natural flavonoids, so it builds the immune system great. Its vitamin A content is not negligible either, and its vitamin E content provides effective protection against harmful free radicals.

Sea buckthorn jam

Ingredients (for about 450 ml):
• 500 g sea buckthorn • 2 larger apples, diced together with the peel and seeds • 250 g unrefined cane sugar • 2 teaspoons honey

Preparation: Place the washed and drained sea buckthorn and the apple in a saucepan, pour over 400 ml of water, cook for approx. 20 minutes. When softened, pull off the heat and breakthrough a strainer. Put the resulting pulp back in the pan, season with cane sugar and honey, then stirring constantly for approx. Bring to the boil for 30 minutes. Fill still hot into the thoroughly washed, disinfected jars, screw the top tightly over them, turn them upside down for 5 minutes, then allow them to cool upside down.
