Learning to listen to ourselves in order to heal.
We often ignore the signals our body sends us because we are afraid or unwilling to see them, or perhaps because we are too focused on our activities and do not give them the attention they deserve, as these activities distract us so much that we are unaware of the signals our body is sending us. That is why we must pay close attention to what is alerting us and when something is not right, so that we can avoid serious health problems later on.
Let me tell you, friends, there was a time in my life when everything was a mess. I spent my time partying and drinking. I also ate at odd hours and without moderation. I confess that this happened every weekend because my friends and colleagues invited me out, but I also went out with my family and my husband, and it was all fun. Until one day I realized that these outings were having an impact on my health and that my body no longer felt the same. When I drank alcohol in excess, I began to feel nauseous and intense pain. Thank God I was able to stop in time, all because of the signals my body was sending me, which indicated that something was wrong because the pains were very recurrent. At that time, my body was giving me signals and alerting me in time; the pain was getting stronger and telling me that something was wrong. When I went to the doctor, they asked me to have an abdominal ultrasound, which showed that my gallbladder was causing complications. Thank God I didn't have to have surgery because I realized it in time.
Because even though we often say that we cannot leave this life behind, yes, friends, we can stop ourselves and prevent things from reaching extremes, because that is the first sign of self-love that we can have for ourselves. That is why I can assure you that our bodies have the ability to inform us of their needs. It is only through this inner awareness that we can understand when it is appropriate to approach or distance ourselves from what is hurting us.
So, friends, once again my body is warning me that something is wrong, whether it's due to poor nutrition or the pain of losing my son, a pain that I still haven't been able to fully overcome. My body sent me another signal that not everything was right. For this reason, I had to go back to the doctor, who diagnosed me with chronic gastritis caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacterium. Now I am trying to eat healthily so that I can recover soon. I know I have lost weight. That is why I decided to go to another consultation with a naturopath for a detailed evaluation
So, friends, if we are more aware and pay attention to those little signals our body sends us, we will be able to determine when we need to eat certain foods, rest, or exercise. It is essential that we learn to properly interpret the signals our body sends us in order to take care of ourselves.
