I absolutely love this post!! I was just having a conversation with my brother a few days ago about this - he was feeling really sleep deprived and just feeling sluggish and tired all day every day - It does not help that his work hours are from 5 in the afternoon until 2 in the morning. There were a couple of things that I suggested for him and one of those was to get out into the sunshine each and every day for at least an hour - I could tell that he was lacking Vitamin D (he is also as white as a ghost in the the middle of summer?). His apartment is all closed up, not even 1 blind open, really Tim, you live in the darkness!!! I also recommended that he change his diet as you discussed in your post. He tells me he eats real good - mashed potatoes, steak, corn with butter and of course bread (this is his typical dinner). I recommended he just try a raw diet for 7 days, which he did :) Our family got together Saturday 7/15/2017 for dinner and bowling - this guy looked rested, and very very happy!!! He stuck to his diet and has committed to getting more Vitamin D. I asked him how he was feeling and he let me know that he has not felt better in years. These are just 2 of the things that a person can do to help get better sleep - along with making sure that you do not sleep with your computer or cell phone next to you at night - the frequencies affect your brain which ultimately affects your sleep :) Great post, thanks for being so AWESOME!!! @sundhine247, It is good that you talked to your brother about living in the dark! For the longest time I used to live like that and when I made myself get at least 60 min of sun a day it completely changed! Even though I live in seattle I can still get a lot of UV Rays! Also I love vinyasa yoga, that was a game changer!
Cheers,
Albert
I lived in Bellevue for about 1.5 years in 1986, loved it there, beautiful place to live!!! I was only 18 had no car therefore relying on the bus and taxi's :) It literally rained every morning which was fine, as I do like the rain - but it was dark when I left for work in the morning and dark when I got home from work (after the long bus ride). I longed for more sunshine :) Its very important to have a lot of sunshine and brightness in your life!!! I have not thought about yoga for him nor for myself, but I have only heard great thing - I am going to do some research on that this weekend (great idea). I challenge you to do a post on vinyasa yoga :) I will watch for it - I look forward to finding out more about it from you :) Thanks for replying back to my comments - it is very much appreciated!!
