RE: 4 Anti-Inflammatory Foods to Add to Your Diet ASAP

in #health7 years ago

I recently switched to an anti-inflammatory diet. With inflammatory diseases being one of the biggest group of illness to affect modern society, it is important for pretty much everyone to consider reducing inflammation in any way they can. I read an article recently that discussed the rise of inflammatory disease since we started our witch hunt against bacteria. It hypothesized that the rise has to do with our clean living leaving our immune system with almost nothing left to do.

I make shakes with spring water, cucumber, kale, walnuts, blueberries (or sometimes other fruit), olive and flax seed oil, a little bit of raw honey, ginger, and sometimes herbs like virdanga (which is used in Ayurveda) or turmeric. It actually tastes pretty good and I can feel a difference.

If the increase in inflammatory disease does relate to our clean living it might not be a bad idea to introduce fermented foots back into the common diet as well. Bacteria rich foods were common in practically every culture for as long as mankind can remember, but they have been pretty much eliminated over the past 100 years.
