Hi Great Steemians! I hope you all are doing great and in good spirit! for me Im doing excellent. I’d like to share a fulfilled although an exhausting experience from today that was definitely worthwhile.

I arrived at the office early this morning, prepared to take on my tasks. I began by reviewing my patient notes to ensure I had all the necessary information for the day’s activities. I also addressed some outstanding emails to stay on top of my duties before heading out. Around 9 AM, I met up with a colleague, and together we went to the Antenatal Clinic to deliver a health presentation for expectant mothers.

Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the mothers-to-be, who were already present for their appointments. The session began with a prayer led by the student nurse, which set a positive and calm atmosphere for the day. After that, the nurses in-charge took the stage to speak with the group of new patients, giving them an overview of hospital procedures and what they could anticipate during their visits, helping to ease their concerns and provide clarity.

Once the nurses finished their briefing, it was our turn to present. As a Dietitian, I discussed the significance of maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy, highlighting essential nutrients and how proper nutrition benefits both mother and baby. I offered practical tips for their daily meals, and it was incredibly engaging to see the women participating actively. They asked thoughtful questions and shared their own experiences from previous pregnancies, making the session feel more personal and interactive.

Following our talk, the physiotherapist guided the women through key exercises and stretches. My colleague and I then returned to the office to continue our work, feeling proud of the difference we had made. By the time I got home, I was tired, but a deep sense of fulfillment washed over me knowing that we had used our expertise to truly impact the lives of these women.

There’s a unique reward in educating others and witnessing how it positively influences their lives. It’s experiences like these that reaffirm my decision to pursue this career in healthcare.
