Eye Care
INTRODUCTION
THE EYE: A SENSITIVE ORGAN OF THE BODY
If I'm to explain about the eye in my own way, I would say the eye is like a glass or a waterproof, if anything unfamiliar pierces it, it gets destroyed and might not be the same again. Also, it reacts if a strange object touches it. It's so sensitive that of noy well taken care of, it's might lose its purpose.
Also, the eye comes in different colours or the pupils of the eyes is in different colours. It might be blue, brown, grey etc.
Things/Habits that harms the eye
Always putting your hands in your eyes: This is very common amongst people.pst times, our fingers are always dirty because of what we touch and we unconsciously use it to touch and remove mucus from our eyes without washing the hands. This can cause infection in our eyes, it can even lead to the eye itching us and then when we rub it, it turns red and sore.

Touching of the eye can lead to infection
Straining of the eye: Straining of the eye harms the eye. This is through constantly looking at the screen, spending hours looking at the screen strains the eye, whether it is phone screen, laptop screen, or television screen. It harms the eye.
Smoking: Smoking affects or harms the eye. Under smoking, we also have cooking using firewood. All these have effects on the eye. Apart from cigarettes, even sisha smoking. It reduces the blood supply to your retina.
Poor eating habits: Not eating well can also affect the eye. Or not eating food with the right nutrients can affect the eye.
Not drinking enough water: Just as water is good for the body, it's good for the eyes too. So, not drinking enough water harms the eye.
Issues that can occur from harmful habits to the eyes

CARE OF THE EYE
Always go for eye checkup: Always go for eye checkup at least once a year. Checking your eye can help prevent some issues that might eventually lead to short sightedness, lone sightedness, glaucoma, etc.
Use blue lens blocking glasses: If you know you focus on your screen for hours, whether it is television, laptop or phone, use blue lens blocking glasses. This is because this lens will block off the blue light that comes from screen which is harmful to the eye. Also, most android phones have eye care mode so you can always turn it on while using your phone.
Eat the right diet that contains nutrients that will improve your eyesight: There are foods that contains nutrients that will improve your eyesight example foods that contain vitamin C, vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc and copper. Foods such as fruits, oily fish, vegetables, potatoes, nuts, etc.
Apply 20-20-20 rule when working on screen: This means that you should take your eyes off the screen every 20 minutes and focus something some metres away before returning back to the screen.
Always wear sunglasses when under the sun or googles: The sun damages the eye so you should wear sun glasses when walking under the sun. Also, google is very important depending on where you are working. Example as an engineer, you have to wear googles so whatever you are doing or whenever you are on site, you eye won't be affected. Also, as a welder, the sparks can destroy the eye so you should wear googles.
Avoid touching the eye with your fingers: Learn to keep your hands away from your eye so as to avoid getting infection from taking dirty hands to the eye.
Avoid smoking: Smoking reduces the blood supply to your retina so when you stop smoking, there will be enough blood supply to your eye which will help with your vision.
Drink enough water: Water is very good for the body and also for the eye. You should aim to drink at least 3 litres of water everyday and you will see that your eyesight will improve.
Use medicated Glasses: Do not use glasses for correction without going for eye checkup and getting a medicated one. This is because if you go for eye checkup, whatever the issue is with your eyes will be identified and medicated Glasses will be recommended which, with time will correct your sight.
