What is BMI? How to calculate BMI. Share ranges of BMI.
---
BMI Stands for Body Mass Index. Is a tool used to measure the ratio of the body Weight to Height, inorder to determine the amount of body fat.
Formula
---
BMI =Body weight in (kg) / height in (meters)²
Some range of BMI includes the following
Healthy Weight = 18.5 to 24.9
Underweight = Less than 18.5
Overweight = 25 to 29.9
Obesity = 30 upward
Calculate your BMI and tell us in which range you are?
---
Formula
---
BMI =Body weight in (kg) / height in (meters)²
I'm 5 feet 6 inches tall, which is = 1.68 meters
My weight = 58(kg)
My height= 1.68(meters)²
= 58/(1.68)²
= 58/1.68 x 1.68
=20.9
Therefore, I have a healthy Weight.
