Paws-itively Fun News: IRONKIDS & Doggie Dash Moves to Northshore Park!
Hey, awesome parents, pet parents, and tiny athletes! Get ready to lace up those tiny shoes (and maybe some furry paws!) because we've got some super exciting news about one of The Woodlands' most adorable events!
The Children's Memorial Hermann IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run and Doggie Dash is making a splash this year, and it's got a brand new address! Mark your calendars for April 11th, because instead of its usual spot, this fantastic event is heading over to the beautiful Northshore Park! Yep, you heard that right – construction at Town Green Park means a scenic switch-up, and honestly, we're not complaining about those Northshore Park vibes!
So, what's all the fuss about? It's a day packed with energy, smiles, and perhaps a few happy barks!
For the Future Olympians:
Kids aged 6 to 17 can dash their way through either a one-mile or a half-mile course. Whether your mini-me is a speed demon or just loves a good stroll, it's all about participation and having a blast! Every single participant gets a cool t-shirt, a shiny finisher medal, and some yummy post-race refreshments. Talk about feeling like a champion!
And for Our Four-Legged Friends (and Their Humans!):
The Doggie Dash is back, and it's probably the cutest half-mile you'll ever see! Grab your furry best friend (on a leash, of course!) and join the fun. All ages are welcome for this one, and strollers are even allowed for the Doggie Dashers. Imagine the photo ops!
Beyond all the high-fives and wagging tails, this event is doing some serious good. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to the Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). That means every step your kiddo (or your doggo!) takes helps support the tiniest, most vulnerable members of our community. How cool is that?

- When: April 11th! Check-in kicks off at 7:30 AM, with the Fun Run at 8:30 AM and the Doggie Dash following at 8:45 AM.
- Where: Northshore Park, The Woodlands!
- How to Sign Up: You can register online, or if there's space, sign up on the day of the event. It's $20 for the Fun Run if you register online ($25 on race day) and just $10 per dog for the Doggie Dash.
- Rain or Shine: This event is happening no matter what the weather decides to do, so come prepared for a fantastic time!
