Called to Liberty
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
The liberty to live freely is one of the most abused privileges on earth.
God in His mercy gave us the freedom of choice to the point of the liberty to choose not to obey Him or submit under His authority.
It's pathetic to know that many have chosen to abandon the presence of the King of glory, in pursuit of the mundane things of this age.
Most times we are overwhelmed by the happenings around, that we forget that the liberty we have was given to us for the purpose of doing the will of God.
Today, the Lord brings it to our remembrance, that we can still choose to be holy. We can still choose to love and cast out the spirit of hatred.
We can choose to be happy for others and cast out the spirit of envy. We can choose to serve others and cast out the spirit of selfishness.
We can choose to be joyful and cast out the spirit of heaviness and sadness. Yes, we can choose to prosper and destroy the entanglement with poverty.
In all, let us remember that the choice is ours, for we have the liberty.
Don't use this liberty to sin. Yes, you are not answerable to anyone on earth but you are answerable to God, for every idle word and action is documented in His eternal book(s).
Think on this thing.
Let's pray together.
Abba Father, thank you for giving us the liberty to flourish in your will over our lives. Please lead us, that we may continue this journey within the confines of your purpose over our lives, in Jesus name. Amen.
