Yeah same problem here.request for url is $%#$ ...it must be image hosting site, i found some free ones, uploaded the picture, pasted the url here and now i have a profile pic with white background instead of image uploaded.cannot figure it out neither, not very user friendy feature, i also tried open an account on steemimg hosting site, they suppose to send me activation link to email-never did.
