Kantajiu Temple or Kantaji Temple or Kantanagar Temple is a medieval Hindu temple located in Dinajpur District, Bangladesh. The temple is located in Kantanagar village on the banks of the Dhepa River, west of the Dinajpur-Tentulia highway, 20 km north of Dinajpur city and 8 km southeast of Kaharol Upazila headquarters, in Sundarpur Union. Its construction began in 1704 AD and was completed in 1752 AD during the reign of his son Raja Ramnath Roy. The temple had a Navaratna or 'nine peaks', but an earthquake in 1897 destroyed all of them. This temple has some of the finest terracotta art in Bangladesh. Mythological stories are depicted on the walls in terracotta decorations. Craftsmen were brought from faraway Persia to build and beautify the temple. The terracotta panels on the outer walls of the temple depict stories from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and various mythological stories. There are about 15,000 terracotta tiles in the entire temple.

Outside this, there is a huge field where a month-long fair is held at the beginning of winter. During the fair, there is a lot of traffic and people from every district of North Bengal come here. During the fair, the temple can be entered day and night, but during the rest of the year, entry is allowed from morning to evening, but entry is prohibited after evening. There is no fee for entry here. People of any religion can enter to visit it.

Although the temple has 9 spires on top, the upper part collapsed due to an earthquake and was later rebuilt. Various works of art have been carved on the walls of the temple using terracotta clay. Artists were brought from Persia to create these works of art and they completed the construction of this temple in about 50 years.

Now this temple is managed and maintained by Dinajpur Rajadevottar Estate but it is being looked after and preserved by the Department of Archaeology and international organizations. The government administration provides security during fairs and pujas. This is the most beautiful and attractive temple in Dinajpur district which is an attraction of North Bengal.
