أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamu-Alaikum-wa-Rahmatullahi- wa-Barakatuh!

Yesterday was What you can think about. It wasn't just another ordinary day for me. There was a stillness and peacefulness. The day has become a time of reflection and has reminded me how powerful it can feel when we take a moment to be still, and be truly present with ourselves. Through this relationship, I can experience the power of connection that we can have with our own personal selves with others. We connect meaningfully and deeply to life through a relationship with the Qur’an by taking a few minutes to reflect on what happened to me yesterday, as well as my feelings and emotions.

Beginning the Day

I didn't put a time limit on my intention for yesterday's relationship with the Qur'an. I simply set an intention of spending some time reading the Qur'an on my own (even if just a few pages). I sometimes have difficulty keeping consistent to my routines due to being so busy in life; like many, I have difficulty keeping my focus in the busy world. Yesterday, I made a commitment to myself to return back...to the Qur'an...out of a place of sincerity without any pressure.

I created a quiet and comfortable place for myself to sit, I put away my distractions by turning my phone off, and opened the Qur'an.

The Content of My Reading Action

As I read the Qur'an, I didn't rush while reading; rather, I thought about what I was seeing (what the words of the Qur'an were saying). I thought about what the words meant to me; rather than just reading through (page by page). What really stood out for me while reading was that the Qur'an resonates directly to our hearts as a way to remind us, guide us, and comfort us simultaneously.

It felt like I was using the Qur'an as my personal prompt/guide to remember everything in life (including: life, patience, gratitude, and purpose) versus simply reading a book.

💭 My Thoughts as I Was Reading

At one point in my reading process, I stopped and thought...how many people have such thought to be with words of All at a time and experience the emotional stability I have been...

I also reflected on my own habits — how easy it is to get distracted by daily life and forget spiritual growth. That moment felt very real and honest for me.

What I Learned

From yesterday’s experience, I learned:

  • Even a small amount of Qur’an reading can bring peace
  • Consistency matters more than quantity
  • Reflection is just as important as reading
  • Spiritual connection grows through intention, not pressure

🤲 My Conclusion

Yesterday wasn’t about finishing many pages. It was about reconnecting. It reminded me that faith is built in small, quiet moments — not just big actions.

I hope to continue this journey, little by little, and make it a part of my daily life again.

May we all find peace in our own way of connecting with the Qur’an.
