Greetings friends and welcome to my blog. I am glad to participate in this weeks challenge.
How many varieties of pomegranates are grown in your country, and what dishes and beverages are made from them? |

For this challenge, I didn’t find pomegranates as it not available in our region so I had to use a substitute fruit which had the same colour red and the good and red fruit we have is watermelon. So I used it in place of pomegranates for the challenge.
Different toes of watermelon are grown in my region and they include;
- Crimson Sweet: this type is usually oval in shape and one dp the most popular. It has dark and light green stripes and high water content.
- Sugar baby: this variety is smaller, rounder than others and has dark green skin and is very sweet and always eaten at home.
- Charleston gray: it’s large, enlongated, light green and red fleshed. It last longer.
- Jubilee: this variety is long and has cylindrical shape. It’s commonly grown by farmers due to its high yield.
Beverages Made from Watermelon
- Fresh Watermelon Juice always served chilled
- Watermelon Smoothie: usually t with other fruits and youghurt
- Watermelon Lemonade: usually a mixture of watermelon juice and lemon juice
- Fruit Punch: this is Watermelon combined with pineapple, orange, or mango juice.
- Watermelon Mocktail: this is a Non-alcoholic drink made with watermelon, mint, and citrus fruits.
Dishes Made from Watermelon
- Fruit Salad: this is Watermelon mixed with pineapple, pawpaw, banana, apple, and other fruits.
- Watermelon Salsa: this is diced watermelon mixed with onions, tomatoes, peppers, and herbs as per taste you want.
- Watermelon Popsicles: this is Frozen watermelon juice on sticks.
- Watermelon and Vegetable Salad: here, Watermelon cubes is served with cucumber, lettuce, and other vegetables.

Procedure
I sliced the watermelon into tiny pieces to look just like pomegranates. Then I put them into the blender.

I added milk to it and blended thoroughly. Then I kept it aside.

I added chia seed to a small bowl and added water and allowed it to allowed it to soak for fifteen minutes while I was preparing the other things for the smoothie.

After blending the watermelon, I put the soaked chia seeds into the boiled and cooled milk and mixed together.

I added the blended fruit to the mixture and poured out into the cup. The milkshake was ready to be served.

I garnished it with banana and watermelon.

The special grains with watermelon and milk are really very healthy. But I am happy that you have chosen a more beautiful and attractive striped red instead of red. But this healthy watermelon juice brings a lot of peace in the special heat. In our Bangladesh, we also use this watermelon to make special salads. I am grateful and want to thank you, my heart is overflowing just looking at this special arrangement and this interesting drink. But I will not taste this delicious drink but will eat it immediately. I am grateful to you for sharing this special healthy drink and thank you again.
