The Diary Game: Rain,School And Self-care(4/2/2026)

Hi my amazing Steemians!!
I hope your day went beautifully. Mine was cold and lovely the kind of day that makes you pause and smile. After months of dry weather, the rain finally showed up to cool our lands and honestly… it felt like a blessing. The breeze was so fresh that I slept like a baby last night. The cool air from the window wrapped me in comfort, and for a moment I wished the dry season would just take a long break so the rain could keep falling.
Because of that sweet sleep, I woke up quite late today and truly didn’t want to leave my bed but i had to do mummy duties so i quickly jumped up to prepare my little boy for school.

Straight to the kitchen I went, where I made potatoes and egg sauce for his lunch. While he had his bath, I fixed him a simple breakfast of oat and milk as he ate, I packed his lunch, snacks, and water neatly into his lunch bag. Soon enough, we were dressed and on our way.
After dropping him off, I returned home and fixed myself a quick breakfast bread, tea, and avocado pear. Simple but so satisfying 😋. I then worked on a few school assignments, freshened up, and headed out for school.

Today was light for me academically I had just one lecture. The class was fun and impactful, mostly discussion-based, which made it really interesting. We even had a short presentation afterward to determine the best group. After lectures, my friends and I went to the library to get our library cards. With exams fast approaching, it was definitely time to get serious. The registration took some time, but once that was done, I headed home.

Since I got home early and it wasn’t dark yet, I decided it was the perfect time to loosen my hair. My mum helped me for a while before she went to pick my boy from school. When they returned, he was so happy to see me. We had lunch together, and afterward I went back to finishing my hair. I wrapped everything up before it got dark, packed away the loosed hair, took a refreshing bath, and felt so relieved.

I relaxed on a chair, scrolling through my phone until hunger struck again . I made a quick plate of noodles with veggies so good! I ended the day by watching a trending movie and reflecting on everything I accomplished today before finally heading to bed.
