Angle of Elevation, Inclination and Depression Applied in Steem Pong Game — Gaming with a Steemian
It's today I really understood the usefulness of studying mathematics and physics virtually. I thought it had only physical applications, not knowing it can be applied in games like steem pong. I don't know why I feel steem pong game is a combination of the mind, the eyes and the hands together. Three of them work together. I'll share my experience and the calculations done during my gameplay. I did a whole lot of calculations throughout the gameplay. Can you imagine that? I solved a whole lot of mathematical problems but still failed.
What can I compare this game to? |
|---|
Ohkay, before saying anything. I was playing this game with @yourguybami026 and we decided to answer the same question. To me, I see this game as a mind game. It's more like table tennis. You need to make use of your instinct, your eyes and enough head calculations to avoid being on the losing end. I see as a do me I do you. You damaged, I'll damage you in return. You mustn't allow your opponent damage you and go free and the start of this game made me very impatient. I felt I should just make it fast, but when it was finally dropping fast, I was begging for it to be slow.
Conserving my Lives in the competition |
|---|
I had a total of 10 lives and my ability to conserve my lives gives me an edge to getting good and high points. At the initial play of this game, it was very easy to avoid falling off the bait. My whole body was in motion and I saw a lot of Pythagoras theorem when looking up and down just to follow the movement of the moving ball. After 10 lives, I'm dead. So I picture myself in a real-life situation of being careful to avoid being killed. If you have 10 lives to live and every mistake costs your life, you would be very careful.
My initial play and strategy |
|---|
I started well, but didn't like the initial slowness of the moving ball. Karma happened that when it started moving fast, I was the one begging for a slow move. My first play was sweet and the best so far. The rules of our game was that you can only play thrice. I played it first and got 1000 points. My lives started reducing when I had 500 points.
I tried my best in preventing the ball from falling off the bait by following the movement very well and observing he angles. I did swift calculations when the ball hits angles so I'll place my bait on where I think it should land, that's after the calculation. If you're not swift like that, you should avoid making the ball hit the edge of the bar or bait.
Losing a life |
|---|
Losing lives made me feel I'm not careful and focused. I felt I could have been more protective of the ball. It made me feel I would have calculated better. It made me tense that I started using my whole body to play the game. My legs were involved too. 😁
My lowest and highest score |
|---|
| First play | 1000 + |
|---|---|
| Second play | 600 + |
| Third play | 800 + |

Since I was playing with @yourguybami026, I had to be very careful to score higher than him. My highest was 1k + and his highest was 492. My lowest wasn't even his highest. It was above his highest. From what he said, he wasn't noticing he was losing lives in the game and there was a time the ball hit the tip of the bar and it became so swift that it started bouncing down haphazardly. So I won him in the game.

Rematch on the 1st of January

It's nice playing the game with you. But, you battered me today.
We will meet again next week for the rematch. I will be praying for you, for you to know how much I will retaliate.
