Hello my lovely steemians how are you all doing? Today i will like to discuss about pig farming which has been one of the fastest developing areas of agriculture. Pig farming is a good source of revenue for farmers as they are fast growing, have good reproductive capacity and if taken care of well, pigs can bring good profit.

One of the benefit of pig farming is high efficiency of converting the feed into body weight provided that proper conditions such as feeding, clean water and good care are ensured, the weight of pigs will increase significantly fast to make a good marketable product within several months. To get good success in pig farming it require hard work and devotion.

Farmers should provide clean housing and good ventilation to ensure good health of animals. Also regular cleaning of pigsty is required to ensure their well being and prevent diseases.

Feeding is another important point. Pigs need a balanced diet with enough energy, protein, vitamins and minerals for development. Clean and fresh drinking water should always be supplied continuously because it plays an important role in pigs development and wellbeing.

Prevention of diseases is also a crucial aspect. Observing the animals daily and detecting any symptoms of disease, such as lack of appetite or unusual behavior which will make it necessary to treat the animal in time and prevent any further complications. Vaccinations and good conditions of farm premises should be provided for the wellbeing of animals..
